We’re proud to partner with St Peter’s School in Cambridge as their chosen provider of RFID library technology.
The transition to RFID was thoughtfully staged to align with their budget and operational needs. The first phase involved replacing their legacy EM tattle-tape system with D-Tech’s M180 RFID gates, tags, and staff pad - laying a solid foundation for enhanced functionality.
This initial upgrade delivered a reliable, cost-effective book security solution, fully integrated with Access-IT. It was easy to use and consistently detected non-issued items, improving both security and efficiency.
A year later, St Peter’s advanced to full RFID capability. This included software upgrades, a new staff pad, SIP2 integration with Access-IT, and programming of RFID inventory tags.
Today, the system runs smoothly - streamlining the issuing and returning of library items while freeing up staff time and improving the user experience.
